Founding Member and the passionate driving force behind the business. The ultimate Netball Role Model.

Netball has been a passion of Lushinka Nash for many years, having played SA Schools Netball and Western Province Netball since 2003. Lushinka enjoys coaching and has completed the Coaching Accreditation Course held by Western Australian Netball.

While at school and since graduating, I have gained lots of experience dealing with children, baby sitting and au-paring. Following some suggestions from parents and children alike, I thought it a great idea to combine my skills and start Saturday morning netball clinics.

I am an accomplished Netball Player, earning my Junior South African Colours as well as Junior and Senior Provincial Colours and having a stint with a Western Australian State Team.

My two greatest passions in life are children and netball.

My dream goal from the age of 16 was to promote women’s sport in South Africa, and get it the publicity it deserves. 10 years later my dream seems to be coming true.

What keeps me going?

I love the adrenalin rush. To achieve something I’ve never achieved before, and the closer I get to it, the more I want it. Through sport you meet so many people and make so many friends. You compete with other and yourself, and through this you get to know yourself. It is for this reason that I have chosen to open up a netball academy called Lushinka Into the Net.

Greatest influence

My Mom – She’s always played netball, and still does, and I remember watching her from the side-lines as a little girl. My whole family really, my parents have attended practically every single game since I was a child. I also have great friends, who not play the sport but are always willing to find time for me.

Countries traveled through Netball

Mozambique, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. I’ve also traveled all over South Africa, to places I wouldn’t necessarily have gone to
